Vintage long-sleeved Ennerre shirt with #16 on the back. The Phonola sponsor and patches were added later. It’s the same shirt as Sampdoria wore in the 1985-1986 season. It has the “Coccarda” (italiana tricolore) shield on the chest, representing that Sampdoria were the winners of the Coppa Italia in the previous season (1984-85).
Beware: it’s not the fanshop or match version of the 1985-86 Sampdoria shirt.
The 1985-86 season was a strong one for Sampdoria, as the club continued to establish itself as a rising force in Italian football.
