This specific shirt, without league patch on the sleeve and with a 3D (shadow) number on the back, was only used during the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Stuttgart was one of the winners of this tournament and advanced to the 2000-01 UEFA Cup. Stuttgart started in the second round and beat the Swiss club Neuchâtel Xamax with 10-2 on aggregate. In the third round they beat RC Lens by away goals rule after the aggregate score was 2-2. In the semi-finals Standard Liège was beaten by 2-1 over two games and in the two final games they beat Auxerre by 3-1 on aggregate.
Blank was only active at Stuttgart in this 2000-01 season.
The shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player size number/name set; the missing “Adidas official replica” patch in the bottom left of the front of the shirt (which obviously is present on official replica store shirts); there is only one label in the neck instead of there being a Adidas x Stuttgart one in front of the size label.
