A very very special and rare Ajax home shirt (which they wore in the 1995-1996 season) that players and staff received after winning the World Cup for club teams in Tokyo (National Stadium) on 26 November 1995. Ajax played Brazilian team Grêmio, who won the Copa Libertadores. The result after 120 minutes was 0-0, and Ajax won after the penalty shootout.
A true one-of-a-kind piece, with the stitched “World Cup Tokyo 26-11-1995” below the club logo on the front of the shirt. It’s not a player issue, but a 100% legit special version that was limited to the Ajax players and staff.
