Description
Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace (or simply RC Strasbourg) long-sleeved home shirt as worn in the season 1980-1981. It is one of the first seasons in which Strasbourg used their club logo on the chest.
This shirt is widely confused to be the shirt of the 1978-1979 season. However, there is photo evidence of it being worn by the entire squad for an photoshoot before the 1980-81 season (see last photo). In the 1978-79 season, when Strasbourg won the French first league, they wore blue shirts with a white collar instead of this model. There’s no evidence of it being from the 1978-79 season. Furthermore, it is highly likely that this specific shirt model was never worn by Strasbourg, also not in a 1980-81 match!
