Description
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) long-sleeved away shirt as worn in the seasons 1981-1986.
In the 1980s, PSG decided to play with white shirts in their home matches. It was chairman Francis Borelli who initiated this change from the 1970s, when PSG president and fashion designer Daniel Hechter designed the home shirt as we know it today in the 2020s: a blue shirt with a red vertical stripe in the middle which is flanked by two thinner white stripes (blue-white-red-white-blue). So the shirt sold here is the 1980s away shirt.
This shirt is incorrectly referred to online as the away shirt of 1980-1982. In 1980-1981, the shirts had a different collar, without the white ‘triangle’ at the throat/on the front.
