Match worn Real Madrid home shirt by Miguel Tendillo (number #20) before the start of the 1987-1988 season. During the league season, Tendillo played (some/most) matches with number #4 instead of #20.
Tendillo signed for Real Madrid before this season started, hence he had to proof himself to play for the first eleven. Similar to most other football teams, Real Madrid played with player numbers 1-11 in the starting XI. Therefore, Tendillo received #4 quickly after he played himself in starting lineup of the first team.
The shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player size number (in this season they used both longer numbers like these and shorter ones), painted Parmalat sponsor logo (not commercially available), the number 20 is printed in the shirt.
Comes from a well-known (vintage) football shirt collector, who has hundreds of national team and club match worn shirts.
Years: 1987-1988 (pre-season)
Condition: Very good, some wear to the Hummel logo
