Description
Match worn Juventus 2003-2004 long-sleeved home shirt by number #11 Pavel Nedvěd in the Serie A. The official Serie A logo patch is present on the right sleeve. The shirt is from 2003 because this patch was replaced in 2004 by one that included “TIM” on the right bottom of the patch.
After playing at Lazio for 5 years, Nedved moved to Juventus in 2001. In his period in Turin (2001-2009), he played almost 250 matches for Juventus. He became Serie A league champions in the first two seasons at the club. In the 2002-03 season, Juve lost in the UEFA Champions League final to AC Milan. Nedved was part of the Czech Republic national football team between 1994 and 2006. On 22 December 2003, Nedved was awarded the Ballon d’Or for best football player who played on the European pitches.
In this 2003-04 season, Juventus finished third in the Serie A and became Supercoppa Italia winners. Nedved’s manager was Marcello Lippi and other star players were Gianluigi Buffon, Antonio Conte, and of course captain Alessandro Del Piero.
In their Champions League run, Juventus used shirts with Tamoil as the sponsor instead of Fastweb.
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, the shirt does not differ from commercially available fanshop shirts. However, a signed letter verifies that it was worn in at least one Serie A match this season. Specific match(es) are uncertain.
