Description
Match worn or issued Napoli home shirt in the 1996-1997 season by Napoli’s number #11. Fabio Pecchia was the person who wore this number the most during this 1996-97 season. It is a shirt worn/issued for a friendly or pre-season match because the shirt doesn’t have a league patch on the sleeve nor a name above the number on the back.
Fabio Pecchia is a former Italian football player who spent his entire active football career in Italy. After playing in Avellino’s youth teams for years, he made his official senior debut at the club in 1992. This match was played on 17 May 1992 against Lucchese Libertas (away) in the 1991-92 Serie B season. Unfortunately, Unione Sportiva Avellino finished 20th in the Serie B and got relegated to the Serie C1. After an active successive season (1992-93) at the club, Pecchia made the move to Napoli. The midfielder played in Naples in the period 1993-1997. He returned to the club for the 2000-01 season. Fabio Pecchia is currently, as of 2023, coach Serie B team Parma.
