Match worn or issued Inter Milan/Internazionale home shirt in the 1994-1995 season by the club’s number 9. In the Serie A, the number 9 was worn 20 times by Marco Delvecchio, 5 times by both Nicola Berti and Davide Fontolan and 4 times by Darko Pančev. Pančev and Delvecchio wore the number 9 in the Coppa Italia matches, but these shirts had different numbers (with Umbro logo in the number).
The 1994-95 season was another challenging campaign for Inter Milan, marked by inconsistency and managerial instability. The team started the season under Ottavio Bianchi, but poor results led to his dismissal, with Luis Suárez stepping in as interim coach. Inter finished 6th in Serie A, securing a UEFA Cup qualification but falling short of competing for the title.
In the Coppa Italia, Inter reached the quarter-finals but were eliminated by Foggia. Their UEFA Cup campaign ended in disappointment as they were knocked out in the first round by Aston Villa. Despite boasting talented players like Dennis Bergkamp, Rubén Sosa, and Nicola Berti, Inter struggled for consistency, leading to further restructuring in the following seasons.
In the 1994-95 season, three numbers were used: two types of numbers with thicker cloth material, being stitched on the shirts; one of these types had the Umbro logo on the bottom of the number(s) and one without the logo. And the one sold here: thin numbers of felt material that are pressed on the shirt instead of stitched. Sometimes multiple styles were used in one game. This shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: the correct player size number in thin felt material on the back, player size XL, size number 34, the raised embossed sponsor logo Fiorucci, and the fully embroidered Umbro logo on the chest which on the official replica shirts was screen printed.
