Former Italian defender Sandro Cois wore number 4 many times this season (see photos). Cois spent most of his career at the club from Firenze/Florence. The player could also play in midfield as a defensive midfielder due to his football intelligence. He came out for the Italian national team Italy national football team (Azzurri) in the international season 1998-1999.
The number was worn by multiple defenders, as Cois did not play all the matches. Furthermore, this specific shirt is most likely worn by at least one player in at least one match. It was very common that the sportswear manufacturers only produced one shirt with long sleeves and one with short sleeves for the entire season. This changed around the year 2000.
This shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player size number printed in the fabric/material, but above all the fully embroidered Uhlsport logo and club crest on the chest (which on the replica fanshop shirts were both screen printed).
