Match worn or issued England home shirt by an international that wore the number 14 in the international season 1993-1994. During these years, England was part of the World Cup 1994 qualification group 2 and played many friendly matches.
Another match shirt is not available elsewhere online from these years! Absolutely rare!
The number was worn by multiple football players that started on the bench, as England started their matches in these years with numbers 1-11 on the pitch and numbers 12-16 on the bench. This specific shirt is most likely worn by at least one player on the bench in at least one match. Furthermore, it is very likely that this shirt was worn in a match by either or all of the following players: Paul Merson, David Batty and Steve McManaman. It was very common that the sportswear manufacturers only produced one shirt with long sleeves and one with short sleeves per number for the entire (international) season. This changed around the year 2000.
This shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player size number in felt material, but above all the fully embroidered England national football team logo on the chest (which on the replica fanshop shirts was not embroidered but a stitched patch).
