Description
Match worn or issued Chelsea 2007-2008 away shirt by number #8 Frank Lampard in the (Barclays) Premier League. The official domestic league patches are present on both sleeves.
Former Italian midfielder Frank Lampard is a living football legend who is seen as one of the best midfielder of his generation. Lampard made his senior debut in 1995 at West Ham United in London after playing there in the youth team for one season (1994-95). He moved to Chelsea in 2001, where he was active until 2014. After, he played one season for Manchester City (2014-15) before finishing off his career at New York City FC in 2016. He was part of the senior English national football squad in the period 1999-2014. Lampard is currently, as of 2022, manager of Everton.
The 2007-08 season ended with sadness and no prices even though Chelsea had more than decent season in all competitions (well, at least for the general football fans). They started the season by losing to Tottenham Hotspur in the annual FA Community Shield match. They finished the season in the Premier League on the second place behind Manchester United, and lost to the same United in both the Champions League and League Cup. Chelsea did not lose any game at home and it was the first season in four years without a trophy. Frank Lampard became Chelsea’s top scorer in both the domestic league (10 goals) and in all competitions together (20 goals).
