Match worn or issued Cagliari long-sleeved home shirt by the club’s number #7 in either the season 1990-1991 or 1991-1992. This number was frequently worn by defenders Carlo Cornacchia in 1990-1991 and Nicolo Napoli in 1991-1992.
Carlo Cornacchia is a former Italian football player who played in Italy in his entire career. In 1989, Cornacchia signed for Cagliari, when the Italian club was still active in the Italian second division. After this season (1989-90), Cagliari earned promotion to the Italian Serie A. After the following season, 1990-91, Cornacchia signed for Atalanta Bergamo. After his career as a football player, he became technical manager of some European club teams.
Right back Nicolo Napoli is also an Italian who played for Italian clubs his entire career. He played for Cagliari in the period 1991-1996. From 2004 onwards, Napoli managed a variety of Romanian club teams.
This shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player size and style stitched number from felt material; long sleeves (not commercially available) and the fully embroidered Umbro logo which was raised embossed on the commercially available fanshop version.
