Match worn FC Barcelona home shirt 1981-1986 by José Ramón Alexanko #6

999.99

Match worn FC Barcelona home shirt by José Ramón Alexanko (number 6) during a match against Osasuna in the early to mid 1980s (seasons 1981-1986). Unfortunately the year is unkown, but it is definitely from the aforementioned period, because later in the 1980s Alexanko was (1) not in the squad against Osasuna (during the 1986-87 and 1987-88 seasons) and (2) using a different number (number 3) in the 1988-89 season.

José Ramón Alexanco Ventosa, also known as Alexanko, is a former Spanish football player who played as a defender. He was born and grew up in Basque County, located in he northern part of Spain. He played in the youth teams of local club CD Laudio and joined Athletic Club in 1972. In 1973 he joined the second team of Athletic Club, called Bilbao Athletic. Here Alexanko played until December 1976, spending the last half of 1976 at Deportivo Alavés. Alexanko returned and made his La Liga debut for Athletic Club on 12 December 1976. In 1980 he made a move to FC Barcelona, where he was active until 1993. In 1992 he won the UEFA Cup together with teammates and legends Laudrup, Eusebio, Guardiola, Stoichkov and many more. Not to forget Ronald Koeman, who scored the winning goal that day, and Johan Cruijff as the head coach. Alexanko was also active for the Spanish national football team in the period 1978–1982.

The shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player size, style (double lining) and material (paint) number that can be seen easily from the inside of the shirt.

The shirt was given to Don Javier Primo, the gardener and later janitor of Osasuna at their El Sadar Stadium. Javier Primo worked at Osasuna from the 1972-73 season until 2014. According to the second owner of this shirt, Primo received it around the year 1985. Hence this shirt was most likely used in one of the two away matches of Barcelona at El Sadar Stadium in Pamplona, Navarre, in the 1985-95 or 1985-86 season.
