Match worn AS Roma long-sleeved home shirt from number #10 Daniel Fonseca during the 1996-1997 season. It is from the either the pre-season or a friendly match during the season because the Serie A patch is not present on the right sleeve.
Fonseca is a former Uruguayan player who played for Nacional (Uruguayan club) in the youth teams and for the senior squad between 1988 and 1990. The forward then moved to Italy where he played for Cagliari (1990-1992), Napoli (1992-1994), Roma (1994-1997) and Juventus (1997-2001). The 1996-97 season was the only season that Daniel Fonseca wore the number 10 at AS Roma. The previous seasons Giuseppe Giannini wore the number, but he moved to Sturm Graz in 1996. After the 1996-1997 season, Fonseca moved to Juventus and Francesco Totti was given the number 10 (Totti wore the number 17 in 1996-97).
The shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player sized name and number on the back from felt material, first team player size XL, and long sleeves (not commercially available).
