Description
Match worn and signed Italy home shirt in the international season 2014-2015 by number 8 Claudio Marchisio. It has two different EURO 2016 tournament patches on the sleeves. It was most likely worn during the 2014 match against Malta (please see the analysis below).
The Italy national team had a disappointing 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign, exiting in the group stage. Under Cesare Prandelli, the Azzurri started strong with a 2-1 win over England, but consecutive 1-0 losses to Costa Rica and Uruguay sealed their early elimination. The tournament was also marked by controversy, including Luis Suárez’s bite on Giorgio Chiellini. Following the disappointment, Prandelli resigned, leading to a managerial change.

Croatia 1 – 1 Italy on 12 June 2015. Marchisio played for 71 minutes in short sleeves.
Italy 1 – 0 Malta on 3 September 2015. Marchisio was injured and therefore not part of the squad.
Italy 1 – 0 Bulgaria on 6 September. Marchisio was injured and therefore not part of the squad.
Azerbaijan 1 – 3 Italy on 10 October 2015. Marchisio was injured and therefore not part of the squad.
Italy 2 – 1 Norway on 13 October 2015. Marchisio was injured and therefore not part of the squad.
Conclusion: it can be from 3 games. After analyzing the photos of the matches, I conclude that the shirts used in the matches Azerbaijan at home (10-10-2024) and Croatia away (12-06-2015) are different from the one sold here. The logos are placed slightly different from the shirt sold here. The shirt used in the game against Malta looks the same one.
