Match worn Ajax goalkeeper shirt from André Onana (number #1) in the Dutch Eredivisie in the season 2017-2018. This match was played on 7 February 2018 when Ajax won the away game against Roda JC with 2-4.
The Eredivisie league patch is present on the right sleeve. The Adidas logo, sponsor, name/number set and the club crest are thin plastic material printed on the shirt.
It was the first season of Erik Ten Hag as the head coach of Ajax. He joined the club after Marcel Keizer got fired in December 2017. Unfortunately, Ajax ended 2nd in the Eredivisie and did not have a great European spell.
This shirt has all the characteristics of a match shirt that are different from the commercially available fanshop shirts (available here):
- Size number 7 instead of ‘Large’ or ‘XL’
- Made in Vietnam instead of Thailand
- The cut-off sleeves because these shirts were only produced with long sleeves
This shirt was swapped with a Roda JC player. A signed letter confirms this.
