Description
Match issued Netherlands/Holland long-sleeved home shirt for an international that would wear number #13 in the 1992 UEFA European Football Championship.
During the qualification and friendly matches in 1991 and 1992, the Netherlands played in the same shirts but without a small number on the front. During the UEFA Euro 1992, the players wore a small number on the front as well as the one on the back. However, in this tournament they also played with a name on the back of the shirt (see photo 6). Therefore, this shirt is issued because the player names (in flock material) were applied later, by professionally heat-pressing. The Netherlands national team did not play with long sleeves in all of their 5 matches of the tournament.
It has all the features of a match issued shirt: long sleeves, painted and shaded number on the back, Lotto size XL, stitched Lotto and KNVB (Dutch lion) logo. These shirts with stitched logos were not commercially available!
