Very rare match issued Foggia long-sleeved third (3rd) shirt in the season 1991-1992 by a bench player that wore the number 15. Foggia used this specific shirt in two away matches: against Lazio on 5 January 1992 (5-2 loss) and against Juventus on 2 February (4-1 loss). In both of these winter games the Foggia squad used long sleeved shirts. The number 15 was used by the bench players Alessandro Porro (against Lazio) and Gianluca Musumeci (against Juventus). They both did not play in the match.
Calcio Foggia 1920 got promoted to Serie A in 1991 after becoming champions of the Serie B in the 1990-91 season. Foggia’s 1991-92 season in Serie A was a memorable one under the guidance of Czech coach Zdeněk Zeman. The team became known for their high-intensity, attacking football, often referred to as “Zemanlandia.” Despite being a relatively small club, Foggia impressed with their fearless style of play and finished 9th in the league. Key players included the attacking trio of Francesco Baiano, Giuseppe Signori, and Roberto Rambaudi, who combined for one of the most exciting forward lines in Italy. Foggia earned admiration for challenging bigger clubs with their entertaining and offensive approach.
With attractive attacking football, Foggia became a mid-table club for three consecutive seasons. In 1995, their fourth Serie A season resulted in the relegation to Serie B. The club is currently active in Serie C.
