Description
England away shirt as worn in the 2002 FIFA World Cup against Argentina on June 7th, with Paul Scholes (number #8) on the back. It has the match details on the front below the small number 8 and the World Cup details on the right sleeve.
Paul Scholes was one of the best English football players of his generation. He was born in Salford and he joined Manchester United’s youth team when he was 14 years old. In 1993 he joined the senior squad but it was 21 September 1994 when he finally made his official debut. He played for Man U until 2013, when he finished his football career. He is now, as of 2022, co-owner of his hometown football club Salford City.
England won this specific match 0-1 because of a penalty goal by David Beckham. Unfortunately it is not a match version, although it is very close to that one. Very rare with embroidered match details!
