Chelsea away shirt as worn in the season 1996-1997 with Gianluca Vialli, number #9, on the back. Very sad to say that this iconic Italian player passed away in the beginning of 2023 after losing the battle against pancreatic cancer. He was 58 years old.
Vialli was striker at club teams Cremonese, Sampdoria, Juventus and Chelsea, respectively, as well as the Italian national football team in the period 1985-1992. Vialli played for Chelsea between 1996-1999 and he coached the team between 1998-2000.
