Cardiff City’s 1995–96 season saw the club compete in the Football League Third Division, then the fourth tier of English football. Cardiff struggled throughout the campaign and finished 22nd out of 24 teams, one of the lowest league finishes in the club’s history. They also reached the second round of both the FA Cup and League Cup, with Carl Daleas the top scorer that season.
