Atlético Celaya home shirt as worn in the season 1996-1997, with Míchel, number #8, on the back. In superb condition!
Míchel (full name: José Miguel González Martín del Campo) was born and raised in Madrid and played for Real Madrid’s youth team. In 1981 he joined Castilla CF (Real Madrid’s reserve team) and he joined the first team of Real Madrid in 1984. The midfielder left the club in the summer of 1996 the Mexican football club Atlético Celaya.
At Celaya, Míchel played together with former Real Madrid teammates and legends Emilio Butragueño and Hugo Sánchez in the 1996-97 season. For Míchel and Sánchez it was the only season at the club, while Butragueño was three seasons at the club (1995-1998).
It has the original name/number set on the back. The shirt is in superb condition!
