Description
AS Monaco long-sleeved home shirt as worn in the seasons 1978-1981, with number 11 on the back. The shirt is likely signed by Daniel Zorzetto.
The 1978-81 period was a strong era for AS Monaco, as the club firmly established itself among France’s elite. Under the guidance of Lucien Leduc, Monaco won the 1977-78 Ligue 1 title, marking their great return to the top after promotion just one year earlier! The squad featured a mix of experienced players and emerging talents, with a disciplined and well-organized playing style.
Following their championship success, Monaco remained competitive in domestic football, consistently finishing fourth in the 1978-79, 1979-80 and 1980-81 seasons. In 1980, they added another major honor by winning the 1979-80 Coupe de France, defeating US Orléans in the final. This period helped lay the foundation for Monaco’s sustained presence at the top of French football in the years to come. AS Monaco won the 1981-82 Ligue 1 again.
