Description
Very special Argentina home shirt as worn in the international seasons of the early 1980s, after Argentina won the World Cup in 1978. It has an unofficial number #19 on the back, with felt material from that period. “Campeon del Mundo” is part of the Argentine Football Association (“AFA”) logo/crest (see photos).
Le coq sportif were the sponsor of the Argentinian national team from 1980. Therefore, this shirt is not from the 1978-1980 period but from 1980. In 1983 the national logo changed to one containing a laurel wreath. Very rare piece in EXCELLENT condition. You will not find it in a better condition somewhere else!
