Very special Argentina home shirt as worn in the international years of the early 1980s, after Argentina won the World Cup in 1978. “Campeon del Mundo” is part of the Argentine Football Association (“AFA”) logo/crest (see photos).
Le coq sportif were the manufacturer of the Argentinian national team clothing from 1980. Therefore, this shirt is not from the 1978-1980 period but from 1980. In 1983 the national logo changed to one containing a laurel wreath.
