Amazing Ajax third (3rd) shorts as worn in the Champions League season 2021-2022, with #10 on the left leg. This kit was also worn in some of the Eredivisie league matches. The shorts are – of course – 100% authentic.
Ajax played the 2021–2022 season under head coach Erik ten Hag and had a very successful domestic year. The club won the Eredivisie with a clear lead, securing the league title, but were beaten by PSV in the KNVB Cup final. In European competition, Ajax dominated their UEFA Champions League group, winning all six matches, but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Benfica. Key players such as Dusan Tadic and Sebastien Haller played important roles, and the season marked the end of ten Hag’s tenure at the club before he moved to Manchester United.
These shorts are a tribute to Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds, which is sang by Ajax supporters during (almost) the end of every half-time break.
