Uruguayan international Suárez played for Ajax in the period 2007-2011. He then moved to England to play for Liverpool. He has also played for Nacional (Uruguay), Groningen (Netherlands), and FC Barcelona (Spain). He currently (as of 2023) plays for Grêmio (Brazil) and in 2024 Suárez will be reunited with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
