Ajax played a very strong 1993–1994 season under coach Louis van Gaal. The club won the Eredivisie. In Europe, Ajax reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup, where they were eliminated by Parma. The squad included several young players who would become key figures in later years, making this season an important step toward Ajax’s Champions League success in 1995.
