Marcel Desailly is considered one of the best defensive players of his generation, and for some one of the best to have ever played. The former French footballer played as a central defender and defensive midfielder for Nantes (1986-1992), Olympique Marseille (1992-1993), AC Milan (1993-1998) and Chelsea (1998-2004). He finished his career in 2006 after playing two seasons in Qatar. Desailly was part of the French national football team in the period 1993-2004. He won the 1998 World Cup and the Euro 2000.
